it makes me sad to think about future generations of music. it seems like there are no longer any truly classic songs. back in the 70's and around then, there were so few bands that music was almost free from influence. but now everone and their half-brother wants to be in a band, and frankly, i think they must all must go to a secret convention and write songs together becuase its all the same emo crap. no variety. thats why i have to listen to so many genres because all the music in one sounds the same!! what do you guys think?

that's what I'm starting to notice, too.
all songs in the same basic genre sound the same. (esp. rap and r&b)
it used to take talent, hard work, and lots of learning to be able to produce music. I'm working my butt off to go to boring piano, sight reading, and singing classes to learn how to make music. and now apparently any no-talent celebrity can make music and make billions of dollars without knowing how to do it right. makes me sick.
then again, there is always someone who tries a different sound and those are the kind of people who are my role models.

I know huh? Theres nothing special about music anymore because all the popular music in a certain genre all align in the same sounds and lyrics. Only the least known or perhaps underground artists sound vagualy unique until they get famous then they sound like all the other crap out there.
